La Petite Maison Bleue
The medieval village of Puy L’Eveque , situated 35 Km west of Cahors, is built on the gently sloping banks of the river Lot with its streets of lovely old houses and the square towers of the Chateau reflected in the slow moving river. The houses are built of ancient ochre stone with pale lime-washed facades. It is reputedly the third premier site of interest in the Lot region. Puy L’Eveque is full of history with its 13 th Century Tower and 14 th Century church of Saint Saveur.
The village has a number of shops for day-to-day needs, and has a small supermarket on the outskirts. There are 5 restaurants, 4 bakeries and 2 cafés. The villagers are very friendly and organise numerous events throughout the year such as wine festivals, concerts and fetes where excellent local food, wines and hospitality can be sampled.
